HONOURING my creative cycle

Finding clarity, what works for me and showing up authentically.

A wicker basket containing natural yarns and knitting needles. Another basket is behind with dried hydrangea and seed heads.

A gathering of natural yarns in one of my many baskets. Shade cards and dried botanicals.

This year has been very different. Increased awareness, realizing that I could no longer function under 'shoulds.' The self inflicted pressure I put upon myself to be earning my livelihood in a certain way was coming to an end.

For many years I've berated myself, for not consistently being on social media, it felt like I was failing. Why wasn't I showing up? There must be something wrong with me, every one else is managing to do it. In reality I've always been present but not always publically.

Some of my vintage finds and current mood board.

Looking at things from a different perspective and honouring my own creative cycle has been a game changer. I create much like the seasons and within the phases of the moon.

Autumn- gathering elements, images, yarn.

Winter- the void, it can feel like nothing is happening but its a period of transition.

Spring- the height of creativity, things are coming together.

Summer- Full bloom, sharing my ideas and offerings.

Yarn windings are a great starting point for my custom blends.

Endings allow for new fruitful beginnings
