Timeless Knitwear, Made to Be Worn and Kept.

Jules Hogan creates a considered collection of handcrafted knitwear and textile pieces, including garments and home accessories. Each piece is designed to be worn with ease and returned to season after season — balancing comfort, quality, and quiet design.

A SLOW FASHION JOURNEY

A woman sitting at a large embroidery or sewing machine in a cozy room with wooden walls. There are pictures, ornaments, and a clock on the wall next to shelves with various items.

In those early days I created everything myself, knitting, washing and pressing. The business grew, and became increasingly sought after, I worked with artisan knitters in Scotland and The Lake District for many years to produce my designs.

I have now returned to making everything in-house, with the collection becoming wearable art pieces.

It’s important to me that I’m making a contribution to the once flourishing UK textile industry and creating jobs.

With a commitment to quality, the finest ethical fibres and materials are sourced. Including super soft lambswool and cashmere blends that have animal welfare standards at the core.

THE EARLY DAYS

The first shoots of the business began to form in 2010 with a single domestic knitting machine and small quantity of yarn.

It was a counter balance to a fast paced full time design job. I had a strong desire to produce knitwear that was mindfully made, at a slower pace, using natural fibres.

PLACE

Snow-capped mountain in the background with leafless trees and green fields in the foreground.

We are located in the Welsh Borders. My studio and creative haven is based in the countryside, on a hill with beautiful views across Powys, 50 minutes from Shrewsbury. The wooden cabin looks out onto open fields, surrounded by wildlife. I am inspired by this landscape but also drawn to tradition, sea views, striping and patchwork, updating them with the use of seasonal colour. This is one of the views on my daily walk.
